Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2 beats Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan as second biggest film in Hindi | Hindi Movie News – Times of India

Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2- The Rule continues its domination at the box office as it has now become the second biggest film in Hindi beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan.
Post the debacle of Zero, Shah Rukh Khan took a sabbatical from films only to come back with Pathaan which went on to become the highest grossing film in Hindi of all time with a collection of Rs 524 crore. But within few months, he broke his own record with his next film Jawan, directed by Atlee, that went on to mint Rs 582.31 crore making it the biggest film in Hindi. But its record was later broken by Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 which went on to collect Rs 597.99 crore.
And now Pushpa 2 at the end of 13th day, has collected Rs 953 crore of which Rs 591.1 crore has come from the Hindi version as per Sacnilk , making it the second biggest film in Hindi beating Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan by more than Rs 8.50 crore. But the journey of Pushpa 2 doesn’t end here, it will at the end of the day, become the highest grossing film in Hindi beating Stree 2 and also become the first film to cross Rs 600 crore mark in Bollywood.
The journey has Pushpa 2 has spread like wildfire at the box office, minting Rs 425 crore in Hindi in the first week and adding Rs 166 crore over the next 5 days of second weekend. Trade Analyst Komal Nahta shares that the difference between Hindi collection and Telugu collection is only because of the capping of ticket prices in the Telugu belt, and there is no such restrictions on Hindi belt. The film is getting the same amount of appreciation in both the languages.
