Changes made to transfer deadline day in this summer window

Clubs will have less time to complete deals this summer after the transfer deadline during this transfer window has been brought forward to 7 pm.
The Football Association, the Premier League, and the EFL have all agreed to move the deadline forward by four hours from the normal time of 11 pm for this summer transfer window.
The transfer window will open fully on Monday, June 16 this summer, aside from the exceptional registration period for the Club World Cup between June 1 and June 10, and will run until 7 pm on Monday, September 1.

Swindon Town have been no strangers to late deals in windows gone by, including the triple swoop for Aaron Drinan, Harry McKirdy, and Sean McGurk during the final throes of the window in January 2024, but they will not have any such luxury this summer.
According to The Athletic, this change was made so that staff at clubs can keep to a more normal working pattern on deadline day without having to work deep into the night to complete deals.
As has already been the case, clubs will still be able to complete signings after the deadline as long as the relevant paperwork was submitted to the FA before 7 pm.
