How UK border force are detecting synthetic opioid drugs

The UK border force seized illegal drugs worth £3 billion last year – the highest number of seizures on record.

They say more cocaine was taken off the streets than ever before – while over 20 dangerous substances have been banned.

Dogs are being trained to detect synthetic opioids – while exclusive police body-cam footage shared with this programme shows officers administering the life saving drug naloxone for the first time.

We met the border force team – along with the migration minister Seema Malhotra – at Stansted Airport.
