Udne Ki Aasha has been topping the TRP charts for many weeks now, dethroning Anupamaa, which had been a dominant presence for years. As the show continues to impress audiences with its gripping storyline, Neha Harsora, who plays the female lead in Udne Ki Aasha, spoke to a media portal about the achievement. During the conversation, she shared that she didn’t feel great that the show surpassed Rupali Ganguly’s Anupamaa, acknowledging the mixed emotions surrounding the milestone.

Talking to India Forums, Neha Harsora praised Rupali Ganguly for her portrayal of the titular role in Anupamaa. She said, “She has done a fantastic job as Anupamaa. I would really adore her, Maine pura Covid unka ye show dekha hai. Jab main dekhti thi toh ye sochti thi ‘wow yaar aa su kaam kare chhe yaar, wow ye ketlu mast kare chhe.’ Ekdum aise strong and independent, that way. (I watched her show during Covid and would think that she is doing so well, she is doing such a fabulous job. Totally strong and independent).”

Speaking about her show Udne Ki Aasha’s achievement to dethrone Anupamaa, Neha Harsora added, “Nahi mujhe aise koi great feeling nahi aarahi hai. Matlab main jhooth nahi kahungi. Matlab acha lagta hai for the whole unit and for everyone ke humara show acha kar raha hai and sab pasand kar rahe hai but aisa kuch nahi hai ke ‘oh maine Anupamaa ko beat kiya hai.’ Aisa kuch nahi hai (I don’t feel any great feeling about it. I mean, I won’t lie. It feels good for the whole unit and for everyone that our show is doing well and people are liking it, but there’s nothing like, ‘Oh, I have beaten Anupamaa.’ It’s not like that).”

Udne Ki Aasha, set against a Marathi backdrop, revolves around the lives of Sailee and Sachin, whose relationship is put to the test by family conflicts and personal tragedies. The show stars Kanwar Dhillon as Sachin and Neha Harsora as Sailee. In the series, Sailee plays a florist in search of her prince charming. She crosses paths with Sachin, who is raised by his grandmother. The storyline takes an intriguing twist as the two fall in love despite their contrasting backgrounds.
